Comedy Central has given the go-ahead to a new project described as a comedy/variety/magic show. Deadline.com reports that the project, “Sleight of Mouth,” from comedian and magician Justin Willman, received a pilot order from the cable channel.
The show comes from Chris Hardwick of Nerdist Industries, Brillstein Entertainment Partners’ Alex Murray, and late-night veteran Robert Morton of “Late Show with David Letterman.”
“Sleight of Mouth” will feature Willman examining various topics and using social experiments and interactive content, the story says. It will also feature guest comedians. Willman has hosted game shows and unscripted programs including “Cupcake Wars” and “Win, Lose or Draw.”
