The best character on television right now may surprise you, according to a poll of fans from Entertainment Weekly that included characters such as Arya Stark from HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and Sherlock Holmes from PBS’s “Sherlock.”

The winner of the poll is the animated teenager Tina Belcher of “Bob’s Burgers,” the story reports.

The story adds, “Why does Tina deserve the honor? Well, in the words of EW‘s Kyle Anderson, ‘All the good laugh lines [on “Burgers”] go to Gene the hedonist and Louise the Machiavellian manipulator, but eldest Belcher kid Tina (Dan Mintz) is still the butt-obsessed heart of the show. And she doesn’t even need dialogue to do it: Somehow Mintz has spun Tina’s signature awkward-teen moan into a reliable catchphrase.’”

Sherlock Holmes, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, came in second, while Arya Stark was in third. Alison Hendrix of BBC America’s “Orphan Black” was fourth, with Mindy Lahiri of Fox’s “The Mindy Project” in fifth place.
