CBS has a new Stephen King project in the works. In what is described as a “competitive situation,” the network bought a supernatural procedural based on a short story by King, Deadline.com reports.
The project is based on the story “The Things They Left Behind,” and comes from Warner Bros. TV and Greg Berlanti’s Berlanti Productions. It has received a put pilot from CBS, which is also home to another Stephen King-based project, the summer drama series “Under the Dome.”
The new project will be written by Seth Grahame-Smith, and tracks investigators who try to tie up the unfinished business of the dead. The short story is based in the aftermath of 9/11.
