Former Letterman Intern Drops Class-Action Lawsuit

A former intern for “Late Show with David Letterman” has dropped her class-action lawsuit against Letterman’s production company and CBS, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Company Town.

The unpaid intern, Mallory Musallam, and her attorneys couldn’t be reached for comment, the story says.

The lawsuit alleged that the defendants violated minimum-wage and overtime laws, and that they reduced their own labor costs by giving work to unpaid interns.

According to a notice of discontinuance filed Wednesday in New York Supreme Court, the lawsuit was “discontinued in its entirety without prejudice,” the piece notes.
