NBC is getting into the anthology business. TheWrap.com reports that the network has placed a cast- and script-contingent order for the anthology series “Manhunt.”

The drama will receive 10 episodes, pending script and cast approval, the story reports. Whit Brayton and Zack Rice will write and executive produce along with Gavin Hood, who will also direct.

The story notes: “Each season of ‘Manhunt’ will dramatize the mounting tension of an entire city on the hunt for a fugitive roaming the streets at large, per the series description. It will examine the moment an American or international city becomes a police state, war zone or ground zero and the ensuing bloodlust it inspires.”
