Rosie O’Donnell is sounding off about widespread media reports that she is already feuding with Nicolle Wallace, her new co-host on “The View.” Extra reports that O’Donnell is denying that a feud is happening.
“There isn’t any feud, yet. … I don’t think there’ll be a feud,” O’Donnell said. “There wasn’t a feud between me and Elisabeth [Hasselbeck] until that day, and then that feud was over because I left, right? It takes two to fight, and I chose not to.”
She added, “We might disagree about things like whether we should go to war in Syria, my answer would be no, unequivocally no, but other people have different feelings and that’s what the show’s about.”
As previously reported, O’Donnell and Wallace reportedly had an off-air spat after clashing on the show about political views. Wallace previously worked as the communications chief for former President George W. Bush, while O’Donnell is a liberal. https://www.tvweek.com/tvbizwire/2014/09/hows-the-new-lineup-on-the-view-getting-along-not-very-well-according-to-report/
Wallace also dismissed the report, the story adds. She told Extra, “It’s so funny to me… I come from the world of politics where the things that actually happen never get out. Now, to be in the world of TV where something that never happened is everywhere, I’m still adjusting; still trying to understand how that happen, but I had the opportunity to audition for Rosie and Whoopi for this job, so I feel incredibly supported. Their generosity toward me is breathtaking and we’re still getting to know each other.”
