Jay Leno Makes It Official: He’s Headed Back to TV

Jay Leno has a new prime-time TV show on the way, having put the finishing touches on a deal with CNBC to do a car-focused show on the cable channel. Tentatively titled “Jay Leno’s Garage,” the series is set to roll out in 2015, CNBC announced.

The show will reportedly be along the lines of the former “Tonight Show” host’s Web series of the same name, which CNBC notes has more than 1 million subscribers on YouTube and has piled up more than 105 million views. The show will be focused on the car collectors’ market.

In a release announcing the show, Leno said: “This show will be about anything that rolls, explodes, and makes noise. We hope to highlight the passion and the stories behind the men and women who made the automobile the greatest invention of the 20th century.”
