Overcoming Hollywood’s Deeply Ingrained Sexism

Sexism in Hollywood can be traced more or less to the point when it became a lucrative business, say some of the women who have become exceptions to the rule by succeeding despite gender-related obstacles.

A new documentary, premiering tonight on PBS stations, takes a look at the history of those obstacles and examines how a number of women, past and present, have dealt with them.
