A thriller that starred Bradley Cooper at the box office is in the pipeline for a TV adaptation at CBS. Deadline.com reports that the network gave a pilot production commitment to “Limitless,” based on a 2011 feature film of the same name that starred Cooper.
The project will be executive produced by Cooper, along with Todd Phillips, his producing partner at Yet To Be Named Company. The project marks their company’s first TV effort, the piece adds. Also executive producing will be Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci through their K/O Paper Products.
The series will begin where the movie ended, with Cooper’s character, Brian Sinclair, discovering the power of the drug NZT and using it for good, the story notes. Neil Burger, who directed the film, is slated to direct the potential pilot, the piece adds.
