CBS began warning viewers Friday night that the network’s programming might go dark on Dish Network, in the latest distribution dispute to potentially affect TV viewers, Variety reports.

“Attention, Dish customers! You could soon lose CBS,” the network warned viewers. The dispute could impact 14 CBS-owned stations covered under a Dish agreement, as well as seven CW stations, two My Network stations and three independent stations.

The contract between CBS and Dish is set to expire Nov. 20. Showtime and CBS Sports Network could also be impacted, Variety adds.

The two companies remain “far apart on talks for a new distribution deal,” Reuters reports.

  1. Go for it CBS!! Force these Satellite and Cable companies to go a la carte. Let the consumer only pay for the channels she wants to receive. If DISH thinks CBS wants too much, let the consumer decide. I would be happy to pay for CBS, but why do I have to pay for ABC Family, Hispanic Networks (I don’t even speak Spanish), America LIVE, American Heroes Channel, Angel one and Angel two. I have never watched any of those channels and don’t need to pay for them to be on my satellite system.

  2. We need to keep CBS it is one of the main channels. Why would you remove a channel that carries one of the most liked shows during the day and night.
