Drama Series Canceled After Three-Season Run

Nov 14, 2014  •  Post A Comment

A cable drama series has seen its three-season run come to an end, with The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reporting that TNT pulled the plug on “Perception.”

The show starred “Will & Grace” actor Eric McCormack as Dr. Daniel Pierce, an eccentric professor of neuroscience who suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and who helps the FBI solve cases. Rachael Leigh Cook, Arjay Smith, LeVar Burton and Kelly Rowan also starred.

The show’s remaining three episodes will air in February.

The cancellation comes on the heels of TNT’s decision to cancel long-running legal dramedy “Franklin & Bash.” In an effort to stand out the cable network is seeking what the report calls “noisier fare,” although the piece also notes that both “Franklin” and “Perception” came from outside studios.

  1. I’m curious who actually watched this series.

  2. I watched this series. It was interesting and entertaining. Not the greatest show on television, but the actors were good and the plots were slightly different from the average “Detective Mysteries” that are on TV every night. It wasn’t just another iteration of CSI.

  3. I watched it. Sure beat the cop/law/medical/reality clones saturating the airwaves.

  4. Kevin Reilly …already on the job tanking TNT like he did FOX. I hear Honey Boo Boo needs a new home.
