NBC has handed out an order for additional episodes of one of its new comedies. Deadline.com reports that the network ordered five more episodes of “Marry Me,” with the news coming after the network has already given full-season pickups to its strongest shows.
The order will bring “Marry Me” to 18 episodes for its freshman season. The show has been NBC’s strongest new comedy, recently drawing a 1.5 rating in adults 18-49.
The story notes: “In light of last week’s cancellation of NBC’s two other new fall comedies, ‘Bad Judge’ and ‘A to Z,’ some sort of pickup for ‘Marry Me’ was expected.”
