Former Fox News regular and conservative commentator Glenn Beck revealed Monday that he has been dealing with serious health issues for five years, including experiencing crushing phantom pain in his limbs and experiencing seizures, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“At one point, doctors gave him a test designed for people with traumatic brain injuries and discovered he was functioning in the bottom 10 percent,” the story reports. Beck commented on his health situation on his network, TheBlaze.

“I was told I would have somewhere between five and ten years before I would no longer be able to function,” he said.

Beck added that a visit to Carrick Brain Centers in Texas helped find a diagnosis.

“We went, and after a few short visits they found that I had several things going on — from an autoimmune disorder to adrenal fatigue, and they found the connection on everything that was going on,” he said.

Beck said that after months of treatment he has “reversed the process.” He noted that while his body isn’t making either cortisol or adrenaline, he was given a “clean bill of health.”
