Gripes and All, Cable Special Draws a Crowd

The Twitterverse may still be busy rolling out its gripes about the show, but the Discovery Channel special “Eaten Alive” still turned out to be a hit for the cable channel.

Some 4.1 million people tuned in, TheWrap.com reports. And the show’s 2.31 rating in the 25-to-54-year-old demo made the two-hour program the top-rated nature show since 2010’s “Life,” the report notes.

Many of those viewers took to Twitter Sunday night to complain after the show’s giant anaconda failed to actually eat adventurer Paul Rosolie, despite the promise in the show’s title.

As we reported Monday, the show has been getting ridiculed as a letdown along the lines of the infamous “Al Capone’s Vault.”

  1. Doesn’t Trump have enough brtthuut from the last time he pulled a stunt like this? I can’t help but think he is abetting obama in this, setting up a big late october surprise, maybe the capture/killing of the Benghazi attackers?
