PromaxBDA, the self-described “global community of professionals passionately engaged in the marketing and promotion of television and video content,” has a new president/CEO, report our good friends at TVNewsCheck.
According to the story, the new president and CEO is “veteran brand marketing executive and former PromaxBDA board member Steve Kazanjian.”
“The announcement was made [Dec. 1, 2014] by [the] co-chairmen of the PromaxBDA board of directors Joe Earley (who serves as COO of the Fox Television Group) and Scot Chastain (SVP, affiliate marketing and development of the NBC Television Network),” the article adds.
Kazanjian replaces Jonathan Block-Verk, who announced a year ago that he was leaving PromaxBDA to go to Shazam.
The story also carried these two statements:
From Joe Earley: “As our media landscape rapidly evolves, disruption becomes opportunity. Marketers are at the forefront of assessing and impacting consumer behavior, which is why the support, services and leadership provided by PromaxBDA are more essential than ever. Steve is an incredibly talented marketing executive who has been passionately involved with the organization for many years. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with him and look forward to utilizing his expertise.”
From Scot Chastain: “We are thrilled to have someone of Steve’s unmatched knowledge and leadership in this role. We are confident that the PromaxBDA board and, most importantly, our members will continue to thrive under his leadership as our association capitalizes on the incredible momentum we have built.”
