Friday will mark what Variety calls Tribune Media’s “return to Wall Street’s big leagues.” The company, which emerged from bankruptcy two years ago, is set to start trading once again on the New York Stock Exchange as of Dec. 5.

For the past two years, its shares have been listed on the OTC Bulletin Board; before its bankruptcy, it traded on the NYSE from 1983 to 2007.

On the NYSE Tribune Media, which earlier this year spun off its newspapers into a separate company, will have a higher public profile, Variety noted. Among the company’s assets are 42 TV stations and the WGN America cable network .
