HBO “recently bid farewell to ‘The Newsroom,’ ‘ True Blood,’ ‘Boardwalk Empire’ and ‘Hello Ladies,’ which ended with a TV movie,” notes The Hollywood Reporter, and now the hospital comedy “Getting On” joins that list.
“The premium cable network has renewed the Alex Borstein comedy for a third and final season, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The third season — like its first two — will consist of six episodes.”
During its second season “Getting Onm” “drew an average gross audience of 1.6 million viewers per episode,” the report said.
