‘The Lego Movie,’ Which is the 78th Biggest U.S. Grossing Film of All-Time, Has Landed a TV Director to Helm Its Sequel

“The Lego Movie,” with about $257 million in U.S. box-office receipts, ranks 78 in all-time U.S. box office, according to Box-Office Mojo.

According to a number of media reports, including USA Today, “Rob Schrab of TV’s ‘Community’ and ‘The Mindy Project’ will mark his feature directorial debut in the anticipated animated sequel to ‘The Lego Movie.’”

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who wrote and directed the first “Lego Movie” said in a joint statement, “We are so excited to collaborate with Rob. He is a comedy genius, a visual savant, and we have been stalking him for years.”
