“E! will put ‘Fashion Police’ on an extended hiatus,” reports Lacey Rose in The Hollywood Reporter.
The story continues, “The three remaining episodes scheduled to shoot this spring will be scrapped, giving the team time to recast and reboot. The new plan is to return in the fall with six or seven episodes tied to major events, including the Emmys.”
THR adds, “‘With the benefit of hindsight, we definitely brought it back too soon,’ says [NBCUniversal Lifestyle Networks Group president Frances] Berwick, who added E! to her portfolio mere weeks after Rivers’ September death. “
Notes USA Today, “Fashion Police” “took a couple of big hits in the last few weeks, with the departure of stars Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin.” To read more about Griffin’s departure, which we have previously reported, please click here.
