Mr. T Lands a Home Improvement Show — You Might Be Able to Guess the Show’s Cringeworthy Title

Fans who are familiar with Mr. T’s catchphrase from “The A-Team” might be able to guess the title of his new home improvement show — but they may not want to. That’s right, the new DIY Network series is called “I Pity the Tool,” The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.

Not that it needs to be said, but the title is a reference to the familiar Mr. T phrase “I pity the fool,” which was also the title of his 2006 TV Land advice show.

The new show is the latest entry in the increasingly crowded celebrity home renovation field.

“The show — which landed a straight-to-series order at the network — will see Mr. T and his famed Mohawk destroying outdated spaces to give families beautifully remodeled rooms,” THR reports. “Each episode of the series will see Mr. T and his team — including ‘HGTV Design Star’ winner and interior designer Tiffany Brooks — break down walls and tear out old rooms to give a family a home makeover.”

Other celebrity renovation shows on the current TV landscape include “The Vanilla Ice Project,” William Shatner’s “The Shatner Project” and Daryl Hall’s “Daryl’s Restoration Over-Hall.”
