The guitar player for a popular U.S. heavy metal band was reportedly stabbed in the head during a knife fight with his brother. BBC News reports that Mick Thomson, the longtime guitarist for the band Slipknot, was taken to the hospital after the altercation Wednesday at a residence in Iowa.

His brother, Andrew Thomson, was reportedly taken separately to a hospital.

Police in the Des Moines area said they responded to a call from a neighbor about two brothers fighting in a front yard early Wednesday morning. When they arrived they reportedly found Mick Thomson with a stab wound to the back of his head.

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor tweeted a message to the band’s fans saying he heard Mick was OK.

The band, known for its aggressive musical style and chaotic, high-energy live shows, is scheduled to start a U.S. tour next month.
