Three emerging broadcast television networks have gained distribution thanks to a new agreement between their parent company, Katz Broadcasting, and Meredith Corp. Meredith stations in five markets will pick up one or more of the Katz networks Grit, Escape and LAFF, the companies announced today.

Grit, an action-oriented channel targeting men, will launch in Atlanta on WGCL-TV. The female-focused Escape is headed to four stations: KPDX-TV in Portland, WFSB-TV in Hartford, WHNS-TV in Greenville and KVVU-TV in Las Vegas.

The comedy network LAFF will be carried on KPTV in Portland and WFSB in Hartford.
