Bruce Jenner pulled the plug on production of a reality show that was supposed to document his transition from a man into a woman, TMZ.com reports.
The move comes “because he feels pressured by producers and has concerns about his family,” the story reports. The former Olympian is a part of the high-profile Kardashian family.
“Sources connected with the project tell TMZ … Bruce told producers 2 weeks ago he felt like they were rushing him and compromising his family by gunning for a May air date,” TMZ reports. “Bruce has two big issues — he wants to make sure his 3 sons are ‘in a good place’ to handle the radical change he’s undergoing. He realized the cart was driving the horse, and that the show cannot proceed until his kids are psychologically able to handle it.”
The other issue is Jenner’s involvement in a traffic collision in which a woman was killed. Jenner is reportedly dealing with emotional issues related to the crash, which may have been caused by his inattentiveness, TMZ notes.
The report quotes a source involved with the reality show saying: “There’s a 99.9% chance the docuseries will happen.”
The show is no longer expected to make it to the air by May.
Jenner also has an upcoming interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer in the works, which TMZ says remains on schedule.
