Amazon Studios has a bestselling series of mystery books in development as a U.S. television project. Writing on Deadline.com, Nellie Andreeva reports that the project is based on the series “The Boy in the Suit Case,” by Lene Kaaberbol and Agnete Friis.
The project is being scripted by Kirsten Sheridan, with Joshua Maurer and Alixandre Witlin executive producing.
“In the books, a naked, drugged but alive 3-year-old boy turns up in a suitcase in the Copenhagen train station rescued by a nurse tipped off by a disturbed friend who then disappears,” Andreeva writes. “At great cost to her family life, the nurse throws herself into protecting the boy, plunging the two into a dangerous journey.”
