The life of a veteran TV correspondent for CBS News who was killed in a car crash in February will be celebrated this week.
The network announced a celebration for Bob Simon, set for Thursday, April 30, at 10:30 a.m. in Frederick P. Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York.
Simon, a regular on CBS’s “60 Minutes” who won three Peabody Awards and 27 Emmys during his 47-year career, died Feb. 11 in a crash on the West Side Highway in Manhattan. He was 73.
