ABC announced it will bring “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to prime time tonight, Tuesday, April 14, for a special encore airing of last night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live: The Avengers Assembled.”

The program was the No. 1 late-night talk show in households Monday night in the 56 metered markets, the network announced, topping both NBC’s “Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” repeat and CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman” by 5%.

“’Kimmel’ also ranked No. 1 among Adults 18-49 in the 25 LPM Markets, tying ‘Fallon’ and beating ‘Letterman’ by 60%. ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live: The Avengers Assembled’ marked ‘Kimmel’s’ highest-rated telecast on any day in 1 month among Adults 18-49 — since President Barack Obama’s appearance on Thursday, 3/12/15,” the network reported.

The program features cast members from Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner all on hand.

The encore is set for tonight at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

  1. Shame on you for not mentioning that ABC is owned by Disney, the company that made “Avengers Assemble,” and so the Kimmel show is in effect a 60-minute infomercial.

  2. I think most of us know it’s an infomercial Bill. We just happen to enjoy what is being sold. Avenger’s Age of Ultron is the snuggie of Summer Blockbusters. I’m feeling warmer already.
