NBC has hired an executive who has worked at DreamWorks for almost 20 years to be its new executive vice president of communications.
“Chip Sullivan, who works at DreamWorks Animation [DWA] and is close to [Jeffrey] Katzenberg and Steven Spielberg, will soon shift to NBC as Chairman Robert Greenblatt’s top PR executive,” writes Kim Masters in a scoop for The Hollywood Reporter.
Masters adds, “Sullivan will replace Richard Licata, Greenblatt’s longtime PR exec who exited NBC last fall.”
Says Variety, “The move to the NBC broadcast network will mark a shift in focus to television for [Sullivan], who is well known and well liked in the industry. Sullivan headed special projects and animation production marketing early on in his DreamWorks tenure. He was named head of corporate communications in 2007 and most recently has been head of global brand integration and PR for DWA.”
