In a meeting Tuesday with the NBC Affiliate Advisory Board, NBC executives kept the focus largely on summer prime time, TVNewsCheck reports.
After the meeting, NBC Affiliate Board Chairman Ralph Oakley told the publication: “The primary subject today was talking about programs for the summer and the development as we go into the fall.”
For other networks meeting with affiliates this week at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, much of the emphasis has been on TV Everywhere and OTT streaming plans.
“Despite this emphasis on programming plans, no NBC programming executives attended the meeting,” the report notes. “Instead, the NBC Affiliate Board heard from Jean Dietze, EVP of affiliate relations, and Scot Chastain, SVP of affiliate marketing and development.
Oakley noted that almost three-quarters of the network’s summer lineup will consist of new programming.
“The board saw some clips of upcoming shows, Oakley reported, including a peek at ‘Aquarius,’ an ‘event’ miniseries due to air on NBC this summer starring David Duchovny as a detective investigating a series of murders in 1967,” the report adds.
