USA Network has put a project on a fast track that comes from a pair who worked on “Suits. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that the cable net gave a pilot order to “Paradise Pictures,” a 1940s period drama from Aaron Korsh and Rick Muirragui.
“The drama, first announced in early April as part of USA’s development slate, centers on ambitious people striving to get to the top in 1940s Hollywood, when the dream factory was at its peak. Little do they know the challenges they’re about to face: the end of the studio monopolies, the blacklist and the new disruptive technology of television,” THR reports.
Muirragui will write the script and executive produce along with Korsh, who was showrunnner on “Suits.” “Paradise Pictures” comes from Universal Cable Productions.
