CBS Expands Reach of Its All Access Service

CBS has widened the reach of its digital subscription, video on demand and live streaming service CBS All Access. The service will now reach 64% of U.S. households after the company entered an agreement bringing 13 additional affiliates on board.

The new partners are stations owned by Bahakel Communications, Block Communications, Capitol Broadcasting, Cox Media Group, Draper Holdings, Ft. Myers Broadcasting, Griffin Communications LLC, Meridian Media, Midwest Television, Mt. Mansfield Television, News-Press & Gazette Company, Schurz Communications and West Virginia Media Holdings.

The 13 new stations join 12 affiliates that were previously signed up, along with the 14 CBS O&Os. The service launched in October, and is now in a total of 94 markets.

The company noted that additional affiliate signings are in the works.
