Connell, who has been with the station since 2010, announced on her Facebook page that she is moving with her husband to Italy. WGCL, known locally as CBS46, is a Meredith-owned station in the No. 9 DMA.

Connell, who has been an anchor on the station’s noon news program, wrote on Facebook: “The station is going in a new direction with both the noon and morning shows.”

Connell, who recently announced that she’s pregnant, added: “We are so incredibly blessed and can’t wait to get started on this new journey. Thank you for being the best viewers I could ever ask for.”
