The premium TV network and VOD service Epix, which is a joint venture backed by Viacom, Lionsgate and MGM, is taking the plunge into original scripted series with orders for “Graves,” starring Nick Nolte, and “Berlin Station,” from executive producer Michael Roskam, Nellie Andreeva reports on Deadline.com.
The network placed a straight-to-series order for 10 episodes of “Graves,” a half-hour sitcom in which Nolte plays a former U.S. president.
Epix also placed a 10-episode order for the spy show “Berlin Station,” with a third original program also in the works. The new shows will be distributed on Epix On Demand, Epix.com and TV Everywhere platforms, the report notes.
