Guests Announced for Final Episodes of ‘Late Show with David Letterman’

CBS has revealed who the guests will be on the shows leading up to the May 20 finale of “Late Show with David Letterman, with the late-night legend set to retire after 33 years in the daypart.

The Monday, May 18, show will feature actor Tom Hanks, who will be marking his 60th visit to Letterman. He first appeared on Letterman’s NBC show “Late Night” on April 4, 1984.

Rocker Eddie Vedder will also be on the May 18 show.

Bill Murray, who has been a part of a number of historic Letterman programs, will return Tuesday, May 19 — marking his 44th time appearing with Letterman. Murray was Letterman’s first guest on “Late Night,” on Feb. 1, 1982, and was again his first guest when Letterman debuted his new CBS program “Late Show” on Aug. 30, 1993.

The lineup for the May 20 finale is being kept under wraps, although CBS is billing it as “an hour filled with surprises, memorable highlights, the show’s final Top Ten List and more.”

  1. Where’s Regis????? Is he going to be on the last show. As many times he’s been on there he should be on the top of the list.
