David E. Kelley — who has had shows on all of the Big 4 broadcast networks — is taking his act to streaming video.

Deadline.com reports that the man behind a string of successful TV series including “The Practice,” “Ally McBeal,” “Boston Public” and “Chicago Hope” has received a pilot order from Amazon for his new legal drama “Trial.”

Also ordered by Amazon, according to the Deadline report, is the pilot “Edge,” a spaghetti Western from “Lethal Weapon” and “Iron Man 3” screenwriter Shane Black.

Amazon reportedly also ordered two additional pilots: the comedic thriller “The Patriot,” from Steve Conrad (“The Pursuit of Happyness”), and “The Good Girls Revolt,” set at Newsweek in the 1970s.
