Jun 17, 2015  •  Post A Comment

A veteran comedian who is best known for his work as a member of a ’70s comedy duo joked about his fight with cancer. USA Today reports that Tommy Chong, half of the marijuana-focused duo Cheech & Chong, talked about the return of his cancer in a series of tweets.

Chong, 77, quipped that the rectal cancer he’s dealing with is “a real pain in the butt.”

He also tweeted: “The good news is I now have to use more marijuana to treat the cancer.”

Chong, whose longtime partner Cheech Marin went on to a successful acting career, had an earlier battle with prostate cancer.

“As a longtime advocate for decriminalizing marijuana for medical and recreational purposes, Chong said he turned to pot for relief in his first bout with cancer and is doing the same now,” USA Today notes.
