Country Diva Dominates CMT Music Awards

The CMT Music awards were handed out Wednesday night, and a vocalist who has been a major force in country music for the past decade had a big night.

Carrie Underwood won three awards, claiming Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year for “Something in the Water” along with Collaborative Video of the Year for “Somethin’ Bad,” with Miranda Lambert.

Luke Bryan took Male Video of the Year for “Play It Again,” and Lady Antebellum won Group Video of the Year for “Bartender.” Duo Video of the Year went to Florida Georgia Line for “Dirt.”

CMT Performance of the Year was awarded to Bob Seger and Jason Aldean for “Turn the Page,” from “CMT Crossroads.”

Breakthrough Video of the Year went to Sam Hunt for “Leave the Night On.”
