The former president of ABC News will be in front of the cameras in his new position — but not at ABC.
The AP reports that David Westin, who led the network’s news division from 1997 to 2010, has been hired as an on-air personality by Bloomberg Television. The details were still being hammered out, but Westin is set to begin his new job later this month.
“Claudia Milne, global head of Bloomberg Television, cited Westin’s background in business and as a lawyer,” the report notes. “He is also an expert on the media and, she said, ‘a calm, intelligent presence on the air.'”
