A TV series from master horror filmmaker Robert Rodriguez will welcome a high-profile visitor when Demi Lovato joins in on the fun. Lovato, a former “Barney & Friends” child actress who became a star on Disney Channel’s “Sonny with a Chance,” will do a guest spot on the Rodriguez show “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series.”

The show, which airs on Rodriguez’s El Rey Network, stars D.J. Cotrano, Zane Holtz, Eiza Gonzalez and Wilmer Valderrama. It returns for a 10-episode second season Aug. 25.

Lovato is a multi-platinum-selling recording artist with hit albums including “Don’t Forget” and “Here We Go Again.” She is set to appear in the season two finale.
