A major station in the nation’s No. 1 TV market of New York City has had a shakeup in its news operation. TVSpy reports that it has confirmed that WCBS-TV has parted ways with the station’s No. 2 news executive, Valerie Feder.
Feder has reportedly been WCBS’s assistant news director since 2007. She has previously held positions at KABC-TV in Los Angeles, WABC-TV in New York, WAGA-TV in Atlanta and KIRO-TV and KING-TV in Seattle, among other stations.
The confirmation comes after rumors surfaced that Feder had been fired by WCBS, but there was no word on what was behind the decision.
