In a rematch of the 1999 Women’s World Cup Final, the U.S. Women’s National Team knocked off China 1-0 Friday in the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup quarterfinals, setting a viewing record in the process.

Fox announced that 5.7 million viewers watched the game, a new soccer record for Fox, breaking the mark of 5.0 million set June 18 by USA vs. Nigeria in a stage match.

The audience for Friday’s game peaked at more than 8 million viewers, the network noted.

Friday’s match became the third most-watched women’s soccer match of all time, trailing the USA-China 1999 Women’s World Cup Final (17.975 million) and the Japan-USA 2011 Women’s World Cup Final (13.458 million).
