With its midseason finale looming, an E! series got word that it will be back for another season.
The cable channel announced that it has picked up the reality show “Botched” for season three. The plastic surgery show’s season two midseason finale is coming up Sunday, July 12.
Season two has reportedly been averaging 1.5 million total viewers, and 863,000 in the 18-49 demo, based on live+3 day figures.
“Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif will continue to transform patients’ lives by attempting to fix their previous surgeries gone wrong,” E! announced. “So far we’ve seen celebrities from Janice Dickinson and the Human Ken Doll, to patients with breast implants in their butt and surgery in Mexico gone wrong. The stories that patients have shared are terrifying, but these two always manage to save the day.”
Said Jeff Olde, EVP, Programming and Development, E!: “Plastic surgery has and continues to be a pop culture obsession. ‘Botched’ not only delivers on the pursuit of perfection phenomenon, but also inspires viewers with heartwarming stories as Dr. Dubrow and Dr. Nassif transform patients’ lives. We are thrilled to bring this series back for a third season and deliver more of what our fans crave.”
Season three is set to air in 2016.
