Michael Chiklis has landed a series-regular role on a Fox drama series. The former star of FX’s “The Shield” and ABC’s “The Commish” will be a part of the second season of the superhero show “Gotham,” EW.com reports.

Chiklis, who appears as the Thing in the “Fantastic Four” movies, will play Capt. Nathaniel Barnes on “Gotham.” A Fox release describes Barnes as a “law and order zealot,” adding that he “lands on the GCPD like a tornado, ripping out the dead wood of Gotham’s police force.”
