Why Jim Carrey Is Calling the Governor of California a Fascist

Jul 1, 2015  •  Post A Comment

Actor Jim Carrey expressed some strong views Tuesday evening, with part of his commentary aimed at Jerry Brown, the governor of California. USA Today posted a series of tweets put out by the “Ace Ventura” star on the topic of vaccines.

Among other things, Carrey called Brown a “corporate fascist.” His comments came after Brown signed into law a tough statewide immunization program. Carrey apparently believes vaccines are linked to autism.

Here’s some of what Carrey had to say:

“California Gov says yes to poisoning more children with mercury and aluminum in manditory vaccines. This corporate fascist must be stopped.”

“They say mercury in fish is dangerous but forcing all of our children to be injected with mercury in thimerosol is no risk. Make sense?”

“I am not anti-vaccine. I am anti-thimerosal, anti-mercury. They have taken some of the mercury laden thimerosal out of vaccines. NOT ALL!”

“The CDC can’t solve a problem they helped start. It’s too risky to admit they have been wrong about mercury/thimerasol. They are corrupt.”

The series of tweets continues, with Carrey attempting to clarify his position. For example, he tweets:

“I am PRO-VACCINE/ANTI-NEUROTOXIN, Get that straight.”

  1. Jim Carrey became famous for talking through his butt cheeks, and he’s still doing it now.

  2. Carrey’s a joke and a jerk. He’s past his prime and out of touch with reality. His mugging the camera and nonsensical roles have made him a fool. He’s come out with this “fascist” rant just to get some publicity for a dying career.

  3. I am sick and tired of TV and Movie personalities making idiotic comments about something they, obviously know, nothing about. I am also tired of having my children exposed to childhood diseases that would have been eradicated if everyone would have had their children vaccinated. This has-been needs to be put out to pasture. He was never that talented anyway.
