Why the MLB All-Star Game Is Pulling a Diva Switch

Jul 8, 2015  •  Post A Comment

One 22-year-old diva is out and another is in at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. The Los Angeles Times reports that Ariana Grande has pulled out and Demi Lovato will take her place at the concert held as part of All-Star festivities.

Grande’s exit comes after the former Nickelodeon star ruffled feathers “by appearing to lick some pastries for sale at a Lake Elsinore donut shop and exclaiming ‘I hate Americans. I hate America’ — on the Fourth of July, no less — as caught on a security camera and released to the public by TMZ,” the Times reports.

Grande’s camp reportedly explained her withdrawal from Saturday’s All-Star Concert in Cincinnati by mentioning that she got her wisdom teeth pulled Monday.

  1. Perhaps those were the “wisdom” teeth that goaded her to declare her hatred of America and Americans on July 4th, our country’s celebrated birthday. Pastry licking aside, can she understand where her music-buying fans live, predominantly? Only good sense she’s shown is not going to Cincinnati, where America’s passtime is holding its All-Star game. I’m guessing her entitled little rich girl act would not be well received.
