Buzz Grows for Upcoming Cable and Streaming Programs — Here’s a Look at Some of the Most Exciting Shows

When the cable channels and online video streamers began previewing their programming lineups at the Television Critics Association summer press tour this month, a number of especially intriguing new shows were in the mix.

A few of the highlights have been “Narcos” from Netflix, National Geographic Channel’s “Saints & Strangers,” AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead” and “The Last Kingdom” from BBC America, along with new projects from HBO, Starz, Discovery Channel and IFC.
