President Obama has lined up an appearance on NBC, but it won’t be one of those typical talk show appearances by a politician.
NBC announced that Obama will take an expedition through the Alaskan wilderness with celebrity survival expert Bear Grylls. The trek will be featured on a special edition of “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” that will air on the Peacock Network later this year.
Obama is set to spend three days in Alaska, during which he will rename the tallest mountain in the nation, Mount McKinley. The name change, which has stirred up its share of controversy, will return the mountain to its Native American name, Denali.
Obama, who will reportedly be given a crash course in survival techniques from Grylls, is expected to focus on the issue of climate change while in Alaska.
