Rap star Wiz Khalifa was involved in an incident at LAX in which officials reportedly detained him for riding a hoverboard. CNN reports that Khalifa posted a video and photo of his apparent detention, claiming customs officials held him down after he refused to dismount from the device.

In the video, officers can be heard saying, “Stop resisting,” with Khalifa apparently replying, “I’m not resisting, sir.”

Khalifa reportedly later tweeted: “Haven’t been slammed and cuffed in a while. That was fun.”

CNN notes that no record of an actual arrest was found resulting from the encounter.

CNN adds: “When asked about the incident, U.S. Customs and Border Protection would not respond specifically, citing privacy, but told CNN, ‘U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) strives to treat all travelers with respect and in a professional manner, while maintaining the focus of our mission to protect all citizens and visitors in the United States.'”

  1. You let one person ride a hover-board through the airport and next it will be skateboards, roller-skates, bicycles and scooters. Yes, it will make it easier, faster and fun…until someone gets mowed down. If you don’t want to walk, take the electric golf cart and let their designated drivers be responsible for the public’s safety.
