Syfy has a scripted series in development that is an adaptation of the Hugo- and Nebula Award-winning novel “Gateway.” The novel, by Frederik Pohl, explores humanity’s encounter with a mysterious ancient alien civilization.

The Syfy project is a co-production with Entertainment One and Universal Cable Productions.

David Eick (“Battlestar Galactica”) and Josh Pate (“Falling Skies”) will adapt the project and executive produce the one-hour series with the De Laurentiis Company.
