USA Network is moving forward with a new scripted drama project, locking in the star of ABC’s “Secrets and Lies,” Ryan Phillippe, for the starring role.

The cable channel picked up the pilot for the hour-long project, “Shooter,” from executive producers Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and John Hlavin.

The project is a co-production of Paramount Television and Universal Cable Productions.
