ABC has anted up for a new comedy project. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that the broadcast net placed a “hefty pilot production order” for “Downward Dog.”

Based on a Web series, the half-hour, single-camera project focuses on a woman and her dog. The project is “written by Animal Media Group’s Samm Hodges and Michael Killen, who will exec produce alongside Mosaic Media Group’s Jimmy Miller and Sam Hansen as well as Animal’s Kathy Dziubek,” THR reports.

The project is being co-produced by Legendary Television and ABC Studios.
